How It Works

Mail-In Sharpening

Preparing your items for our mail-in sharpening service is simple and ensures your blades arrive safely and securely. Follow these steps for a hassle-free experience:

  1. Cover the Blades: For safety and protection, cover all blades with at least a thick paper sheath or cardboard. This prevents any damage during transit and ensures the sharp edges are safely contained.
  2. Use Protective Packaging: Place the covered blades in a sturdy box. Flat rate boxes are available at the post office and are a great option. Depending on the weight, shipping should cost between $5-$10.
  3. Include a Note: Include a note with your name, contact information, and any specific instructions or requests. This helps us identify your order and understand your needs better.
  4. Insurance and Tracking: Any mail-in service that offers tracking also includes up to $100 of insurance on your items. Feel free to add more insurance as needed or that you are comfortable with. Please let me know the amount of insurance you’ve added, so I can ensure the same amount for the return trip to you.
  5. Shipping Address: Send your package to the address provided on our website. Double-check to ensure it’s correct to avoid any delays or lost packages.
  6. Notify Me: Once you’ve shipped your items, drop me a quick message with the tracking number. This helps me keep an eye out for your package and start preparing for your order.
